The portal specialized in WhatsApp, WABetaInfo assured that the messaging service is in the process of testing to allow editing messages once they have already been sent, with functions that would include from correcting only writing errors to completely changing what was originally written.
Just a few weeks after the reactions arrived on WhatsApp, the website ensures that the next function that will seek to revolutionize the application will be the editing of messages, to such a degree that it is even already in the process of development, however, it is in an extremely early phase, so even people who are enrolled in the beta can not use it either.
There are even captures of how this function can be performed, filtered by the medium itself, in which it is shown, users must press and hold the message and two known options will appear (information, copy) in addition to editing. Selecting the new option will enable the text bar again to edit the message, so the user can make the changes they want.
One of the features that this function of editing messages would have, is that, like the function of deleting the texts sent, you will have a certain amount of time to be able to make the changes, so after it passes, the message could no longer be changed. However, WABetaInfo did not report how many seconds, minutes or hours it will be.
This function is expected, it will arrive for both Android and iOS, although, because it is barely in the process of development, there is no estimate of how much it could reach the beta version and therefore, there is no probable date for it to reach the final version in all users.
The function of editing messages is already in operation on some other platforms, as in the case of Telegram, where, for some years now you can modify some text that has been sent, or even, in Skype.
