The instant messaging service Telegram confirmed that it will add a premium plan through which it will offer its users greater speed, new features and a greater amount of resources and tools.
This was announced by Pavel Durov, founder of the application, who said, this measure has to do with the requests made by users regarding an increase in the limits of Telegram, considering a generalized demand the increase in storage issues.
According to Durov, increasing the capacity of Telegram for free would be impossible since it would increase data traffic and thus generate practically unaffordable costs for the messaging network, which would compromise the operation of the service.
Although at first, Telegram refused to launch a paid version has now changed its mind at the request of users, Durov was emphatic in ensuring that the functions that are currently available, will continue without modifications for people who prefer to continue with the free plan.
Finally, Pavel Durov said that they want the application to be financed by users and not by advertisers and therefore chose to create the premium plan.
Although the cost of the plan is not currently official, there is leaked information that ensures it will be priced at $ 4.99 per month, with the aim of expanding limits on channels, folders in chats, fixed conversations and public links, ability to upload files up to 4GB (double the free accounts), increase in the speed of downloads, automatic transcription into voice messages, as well as exclusive reactions and stickers.
