Through the @UniverseIce Twitter account, an alleged geekbench 5 test was published in which a comparison is shown between the premium chipsets that Android will use for 2022 and in which the new Mediatek Dimensity 9000 processor was placed as the winner.

According to the graph, the latest generation Dimensity would be more powerful than its competitors by surpassing even the new Snapdragon 8 Gen1, which was in second place, since in the multicore test it stood out by 658 points and in the one of a core it obtained a score of 47 points.

On the other hand, under the two strongest bets on the market, are Samsung’s Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2200 which show similar metrics in third and fourth place, as the former gained the upper hand in single-core scoring and the latter in multi-core option.

Interestingly, information was also published about Apple’s A15 Bionic chip, which stands out as the most powerful compared to its rivals reaching a score that exceeds by more than 475 points the Dimensity 9000 in the multicore test and by 472 in the single-core test.

Although @UniverseIce has advanced on other occasions information this may be susceptible to errors, in case it is confirmed it would be talking that MediaTek would take an important step to compete in the market thus establishing a «stagnation» for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that shows an improvement compared to the Snapdragon 888, without surpassing the Dimensity 9000.

The metrics will be verified in the coming months, Oppo would debut the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and would also be used by devices from Xiaomi, Vivo and Honor.

As for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it would be Samsung who would use it in some regions for the new Galaxy S22, in addition to the Xiaomi 12 and the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, the latter already marketed in China.
