In recent years MediaTek and Qualcomm have competed for the preferences of manufacturers of cell phones and other technological devices in which the Snapdragon range has benefited.

From the medium Business Korea has been announced that Samsung would be interested in incorporating MediaTek chipsets for its new Galaxy S22 FE models (whose launch is expected in the second half of 2022) as well as the entire Galaxy S23 series, which would be launched in 2023.

Using MediaTek as a processor in its devices would not be something unknown to Samsung since it currently incorporates them in some models of its mid-range as in the case of the Samsung Galaxy A and its entire series, the relevant thing would be that Samsung would incorporate MediaTek processors in the premium range of the brand.

However, everything seems to indicate that it will be a kind of test, the processors that would be incorporated in half of the units that would be put on sale in Asia could be the Dimensity 9000, Dimensity 8000 and 8100 models.

All of the above would be because the latest Exynos chips developed by Samsung have not had the best reception, as an example the Exynos version that is used in devices sold in Europe has had strong criticism.

DATUM

MediaTek processors are mainly used in mid-low range smartphones, since the presentation of the Dimensity 9000 some tests have emerged that place it as the most powerful Android above the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Exynos 2200 and being lower its performance compared to apple’s A15 chip.
