In its Unpacked presented on February 9, Samsung presented its three new smartphones: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and Galaxy S22 Ultra, all of the high-premium range and which will be the banners of the brand for this 2022.
Galaxy S22 Ultra
The cataloged «heir» of the Galaxy Note series has an integrated S-Pen and incorporates a Dynamic Amoled 2X screen of 6.8 inches, with refresh rate of 240 Hz and maximum brightness of one thousand 750 nits.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 processors depending on the region, it comes with a RAM of 8 GB for the models of 128 GB, the models of 256, 512 and 1TB of storage will have 12 GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 + has a quad rear camera: 108 megapixels for the main one, 12 megapixels for the ultra wide angle lens, and two of 10 megapixels for telephoto, one with 3X optical zoom and another 10x, the latter with 100x digital zoom. Front camera is 40 megapixels.
Samsung highlighted the quality of the camera of the S22 Ultra by stating that it is the best camera with artificial intelligence that has a system of algorithms to identify objects and environments, focus on details and reduce noise.
Samsung’s Flashgip has a 5,000mAH battery with 45W fast charging enabled for both wireless and reverse charging. It stands out for its 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, and has IP68 UWB certification.
Galaxy S22 and S22+
These two cell phones presented are extremely similar. They converge in terms of design –which is the same as the previous generation– in addition to the fact that their body is made of glass with aluminum reinforcement and Gorilla Glass Victus +.
Both would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 processors (according to the region) and with a RAM of 8GB, they will be available with a storage capacity of 128 and 256GB with the customization layer of Samsung One UI 4.1 based on Android 12.
The S22 and S22+ models feature three rear cameras. The main one is 50 megapixels, the second is a 120° ultra wide angle with 12 megapixels and the third a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, while the front is 10 megapixels.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 has a 6.1-inch Dynamic Amoled 2X screen with refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, while the Samsung Galaxy S22+ incorporates a 6.6-inch Dynamic Amoled 2X screen capable of reaching a brightness of one thousand 750 nits.
As for fast charging, the S22 has 3,700 mAh with 25w fast charging, while the S22+ has 4,500 mAh with 45w fast charging. Both feature reverse wireless charging.
